Our History
As neonatal nurses, we are aware of the unique milestones preemies reach during their hospitalization after birth. Such milestones as maintaining their body temperature, nippling their feedings, and breathing without the aid of extra oxygen are, of course, taken for granted with a "full term" infant. We saw parents frustrated with trying to adapt baby books for their special infants. Most resorted to keeping journals of their infants progress in note books... others scratched notes on calendars. Thus, the idea of a baby book to meet the needs of the premature baby was born.

Forming our own publishing company while continuing our nursing careers, Prematurely Yours evolved form an idea to reality. Now after more than ten years and thousands of happy customers, Prematurely Yours welcomes you to our web site.

The reception to our book has been fantastic. As with other baby books, it was designed to serve as a record of the child's early years but Prematurely Yours does more than that. Prematurely Yours serves an educational and emotional need also. Prematurely Yours shows parents what the routine course for a preemie is, therefore, reassuring them that their child is not the only one going through this experience. After discharge from the hospital, Prematurely Yours continues to record the child's progress through six years of age.
